Audience and Retargeting Setup

The Mobile Ads AI builds and manages audiences — both prospecting (reaching new people) and retargeting (reaching people who have already interacted with your brand).

Audience types

Prospecting audiences — lookalike

Built from your customer list or highest-scoring ICP contacts. The platform uploads your list to Meta/TikTok and creates a 1–3% lookalike audience that statistically resembles your best customers.

Retargeting — website visitors

Requires Pixel installed on your site. Retargets anyone who visited your site (or specific pages) in the last 30, 60, or 90 days.

Retargeting — engaged contacts

Retargets contacts in your CRM who have received emails, opened emails, or clicked links in sequences. Requires CRM integration.

Retargeting — video viewers

Retargets people who watched 50%+ of your video ads. Available after first video ad runs.

Setting up lookalike audiences

Mobile Ads → Audiences → New Lookalike. Select source (CRM contacts, campaign conversions, or manual CSV upload). Select similarity percentage (1% = most similar = smallest, 5% = broader reach). Select geography (U.S. only for Phase 1).

Retargeting pool size requirements

Meta requires a minimum of 100 people in a custom audience to activate it. TikTok requires 1,000 minimum. If your pool is too small, the audience will remain inactive until the minimum is reached.
